SUMMARY:Rena Jones at Wisdome
DESCRIPTION:Price: $45-$100\nClick here to buy tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sakura-at-wisdome-la-tickets-59624311922?fbclid=IwAR2D08-jlsfFCwbYJLrY8DCHS4waabPo18MGS6-lEUb6AfKkh2TMClBDE8U\nAge Limit: All Ages\n\nDetails: Wisdome in association with Bent Audio - humbly invite you to a weekend of forward-thinking music set in the wonder that is the 360 degree visual dome. The theme of the event is Sakura, the Japanese cherry blossom - they bloom but once a year and are a sight of beauty to be appreciated in the moment. It is with this in mind we offer the combined musical talent with the intense beauty of the fulldome visualizations for you to experience.\n\nDavid Phipps (of STS9) - Piano and Modular Synthesizer\n\nRena Jones Trio - This will be a full live show with Rena on live electronics and violin, Asher Fulero on drum kit and Marc Sciglimapglia on accordion and minimal live synth.\n\n"Multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer Rena Jones is a force to be reckoned with. At age 30, she boasts more than 30 collaborative albums, 3 full length solo albums, 20 years of classical violin study, and 12 years of cello, and she is considered one of the leading women in audio engineering today."\n\nRena’s tracks have been released with such reputable international labels as Iboga, Spun Records, Aleph Zero, 1320 Records, Addictech, Ultimae, Schematic Records, Native State Records and she runs and curates her own label Cartesian Binary Recordings.\n\n"Literally one of the best experimental artists currently making tracks. Layers and layers of experimental-electronic goodness, focus constantly shifts from leads to bridges to the beat and back around again, using sounds in Ableton Live that many others would have difficulty with, but instead forms an analog/virtual opus." - Women's Radio\n\n- The hum and buzz of summer permeates Bwoy de Bhajan’s streams of challenging but pleasant sounds. The promising producer has a penchant for World Music. At the same time, he is clearly influenced by Western electronica of the more experimental kind.\n\nDespite the drowsy groove of the music, this music has plenty of delicate touches, edgy beats, foley recordings, wonky bass lines and Eastern mystique to get lost in.\n\nHe is only 24 years of age, but has already sent many crowds into deep hypnosis, including festivals all over the world such as Roskilde (DK), Boom (PT), Ozora (HU), Earthcore (AU), Tribal Gathering (PA) and indoor venues such as Plastic People (London), Sisyphos (Berlin), AgeHa (Tokyo), Viva City (Thimphu), and Orpheum Theatre (New Orleans).\n\nNo specific genre can define the unique style of music, and he has shown this by playing shows with names varying from Max Cooper and Tipper, to Omar Souleyman and Madlib.\n\nHe was a nominee for 'Hope of the Year' at the Steppeulven (Critics) Awards in Denmark, and is no stranger to the media world, having done commissioned work for DR (DK) and the BBC (UK)....\n\nOTHER ACTS TO BE ANNOUNCED WEEKLY.
