DESCRIPTION:Age Limit: All Ages\n\nDetails: AMP (Appalachian Mountain Protection) Music Festival is an event devoted to celebrating the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and gathering support to prevent mountain top removal. AMP aims to spread awareness of the harmful and tragic effects that mountain top removal has on our mountains and our communities. The founders of AMP strive to bring people together to support this amazing cause by rejoicing in one of the greatest things of all - music. \n\nWe are excited to announce that AMP will take place on May 14 & 15, 2010 at Southbound Bar & Grill in the Old City of downtown Knoxville! AMP will host 20+ artists from a truly eclectic mix of music genres with two full nights of great music across THREE stages! I hope you will join us at AMP and help us make this event an amazing experience for all! All proceeds from the event will go to the United Mountain Defense (UMD) Fund.
