For all melody instruments.\n5:00 pm, Light Supper for workshop participants and musicians\n7:00 Concert by Dearest Home - Old Timey favorites, ballads from PA and WV, Carter Family and Jean Ritchie songs, and even a few Civil War Era songs, with lots of sing-alongs and audience participation!\n\n\n2. Of the Land and Seasons - learn about this folk song worship setting, and how worship can fit in with and express the context and setting of the people who gather.\nWorkshops Period 2, 3:30-4:30 pm\n3. Civil War Era Tunes - learn some popular waltzes, reels, marches and airs of the US Civil War Era\n4. Folk Songs and Ballads from Western PA and Northern WV - explore the Samuel Bayard Folk Song collection through singing some of the wonderful songs he collected in the area, during the first half of twentieth century. Most of the songs are very old, and have been passed down from generation to generation. For everyone! Most songs will include chords for instrumentalists to play along if they wish.\n
