SUMMARY:Tweed Funk at Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.
DESCRIPTION:Price: 0.0\nAge Limit: All Ages\n\nDetails: Sun Jul 24 2016 6pm - 10pm @ 224 W Bruce St. - FREE - $15 suggested donation\n\nTweed Funk's front man Joseph “Smokey” Holman has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer and will be undergoing a stem cell transplant starting in August. The musician community has rallied to put on a show to help raise money for Smokey to help cover his expenses while undergoing the stem cell transplant. The treatment period could put him out of work for a minimum of 3 months. The confirmed line-up for this special Sunday show includes: Greg Koch, Shonn Hinton, Tweed Funk, Marvelous Mack, The Blues Disciples with special guest Reverend Raven, and Timothy Charles & The Blind Fiction. Doors open at 5 pm and the music runs from 6 pm to 10 pm. There is no cover charge but a donation is suggested to help support Smokey.\nMultiple myeloma is a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells. Normal plasma cells are found in the bone marrow and are an important part of the immune system. We are hoping that with successful treatment that Smokey will be able to resume performing later this fall and can have a number of happy and productive years ahead.
