Buddy Guy with Quinn Sullivan Buddy Guy is a living legend. From 1953 on, he has been a name to know in the blues. He was a member of Muddy Waters' band in the sixties, and house guitarist at the Chess Records; his influence can be seen in guitarists like Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Buddy Guy is known far and wide as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, living or otherwise.Guy began playing guitar on a hand made Diddley Bow, later receiving a Sears and Roebuck Harmony Guitar, now housed in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. With this guitar he developed his signature sound; a distinct variant on Chicago Blues which veers off into avant-garde, free, and soulful styles.
