Most of you have been to at least one of the prior two DBF NW events and know how we do things but for the new folks, some info is below.
DBF NW is a FREE day and a half long music festival / party / camping weekend. The scheduled artists are listed above. We'll be having a pig roast on Saturday served with various side dishes as well.
The music will start around the campfire on Friday evening once the sun starts going down, possibly earlier. You should plan on arriving Friday afternoon to secure a good camping spot and so you don't miss any of Friday evening's performers.
This event is FREE for everyone and that includes food on Saturday. Feel free to invite your friends or families via the event page here. We like to consider this a private party where everyone's invited.
There will be some beer / soda / water made available for free as well however it's always best to have more than enough so feel free to bring some as well.
This is all in the name of everyone having a great time so anyone fighting or causing any trouble will immediately be kicked out. Eat, drink and be merry.
There will be two port-a-potty's on site but no showers so bring deodorant unless you plan on washing up in the river. Note the river source is a glacier. Glaciers are cold.
Come prepared as you would for any two day camp out.
The only electricity on site will be generators used to power the music. There's no issues with cell phone reception.
Even though there is a pig roast with side dishes on Saturday and possibly dinner on Friday night, feel free to bring your own food but no grills or barbecues. You're welcome to cook food over the campfire.
Bring cash as there's no ATM on site and every single artist appearing is excellent and they'll all have merch to sell. Buying a shirt or cd from them helps them to keep making the music we all love. Also event donations are always appreciated.
The address for the event will be provided a week or two before the event. If you've never been, just know that the location is in Orting, WA which is about an 50 minutes south of Seattle or 2.5 hours north of Portland, OR.
There will be garbage cans and a dumpster on site so PLEASE dispose of all your trash properly (INCLUDING CIGARETTE BUTTS) as we have to scour the property on Sunday to ensure it's as clean as it was before the weekend.
Lastly and most importantly, everyone's favorite rule, NO DOGS ALLOWED. We all know your dog is the best behaved and most friendliest dog to ever exist but you will get turned away if you show up with it.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Chris Green, Jon-thomas Butler or Nick Lindsay.
