"These sidewalks. The ghosts of Carson McCullers & Ma Rainey, with a thousand other angels, dybbuks and shades. And you M'lady smile at me from on high and you linger on... Your Pale Blue Eyes."
"Good seeing some friends at Fountain City Coffee open mic last night.. Travis Mackey, Abigail M. Permenteri, Stephen Oneil Sanders, Tyler King, Lisa Scarborough, Candace Cain... and great music! Of course good to see my buds ofThe Shadowville All-Stars too.. Brian Mallard, Will Dockery, Jack Snipe!" -Rusty Wood- What he said..!
Poetry night Wednesdays at FCC, Thursday Open Mic hosted by Brian Mallard, Friday and Saturday night, live local music performav=ces.
Over a decade of live, local music at Fountain City Coffee!Benjamin John Holland, you were hosting open mic there on Thursdays how long ago... since at least 2007? And still going strong, tonight and every Thursday, open mic hosted by Brian Mallard.
"Jones Ave. featuring Bob Harvey of Jefferson Airplane is proud to roll out of the rehearsal studio for one of Fountain City Coffee's famous parking lot parties, complete with multimedia light show, for the opening night of Bikes on Broadway, Sept. 10-12, 2004. Lots of great music happening in Uptown Columbus all weekend..."
Benjamin John Holland: "I started doing it back in 2003 actually, Will Dockery. It has been a labor of love for those of us who have hosted, Gini Woolfolk Davidson, John Phillips, Julian Hernandez, Brian Mallard, & the countless others who have helped & guest hosted over the years. A few people I would like to mention, because without them we the show would not have gone on are Jason Turner, Jonathan Edwards, & everyone including Will Dockery & every musician that has graced the stage at FCC! Let us not forget the founders of the feast first Kevin Welch & now Mr Jud Richardson!"
Gini Woolfolk Davidson: "I absolutely loved my time at fountain city and really miss it! Raising up the next generation of open mic now..."
John Phillips: " Fountain City Coffee was my living room for many years. And it was the best living room, because there were always friends there."
And so it goes... Fountain City Coffee, always at the cutting edge of live local music, poetry and art in Downtown Columbus. Fountain City Coffee's Open Mic Night hosted by Brian Mallard.
