Kman and The 45s (Ska Rock n' Roll)
Call it what you want, we call it a rocking Ska party. Straight out of downtown Montreal, K-Man & the 45s have been bringing an edge to the Canadian ska scene for a few years now. In 2011 the boys brought you their first full length album entitled Got Me Movin' and released their first video and single The Red Guy Always Wins. Then they began playing non stop. They have now toured most of the country going from one ocean to another and word has been spreading quickly that when these guys hit the stage people tend to get wild. Is it the rockin vibe these people inject into their ska? Is it the volume and intensity for a ska show that gets them? Is it the sense of urgency they play with? Whatever it is, they tend to rock their ska so hard that people not yet familiar to ska are now getting into the wave. Often heard at a K-Man & the 45s show "man i didn't even know i liked ska, this rocks"-random rocker in you're city

Blame it on brian (third wave ska)
Well, Ron found people for a ska band on kijiji...started with him singing and guitar, me (Brian) on bass, J Biz on sax, and Colin on trumpet...Colin could never make jams, so he left, and we got Matt. Then Ron found L Money for back up vox, and I got Greg, who I was previously in DIVR with, to play drums. Things were goin good for a while, but then Ron graduated and decided to leave for Toronto, as did Matt. SO...decision time...do we pack it in, or push forward? Well, I says to Mabel, I says, "we ain't no pussies!" So J Biz moved to guitar, and L Money took over lead vox. Then We found Alex the Kid, who if the sax was alive, he'd give it orgasms. So that's where we are up to this point. One demo in, and shows to start coming soon! Stay tuned!
Now it's 2013, and after a lil hiatus due to J Biz goin to Africa to experiment on the locals, and only one show under our belts the previous August, we start jammin again and fall back into the groove real quick-like! Beginning of February rolls around, and I get a hit on my long-running kijiji add from a trumpet player named Byron, and this guy kicks ass, so we're now a 6-piece, yay! About a week later, kijiji comes thru again, Jorian says he plays trombone, comes for a jam and fits right the hell in. We're now a 7-piece on a mission...hope to see ya skankin soon!
