Roots Café is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing the best in Americana and roots music to Baltimore in an environment welcoming to all ages and all persuasions. During its triumphant 17-year run at St. John’s Church in Charles Village and at Seidel’s Bowling Center in Hamilton, the Roots Café hosted such acts as Bill Kirchen, Steve Wynn, Jon Dee Graham, Marah, Robbie Fulks, Butch Hancock, Amy Rigby, Steve Young, Billy Kemp, Eric Ambel, Hasil Adkins, Bruce Molsky, the Silos, Paul Cebar, Slaid Cleaves, Last Train Home, the Mollys, Edge City, Bobby Parker, Boister, Bo Ramsey and Tarbox Ramblers. Now that tradition continues.
