That is how thousands of Chicagoans feel during the winter. For those who are homeless or lacking adequate clothing, winter by the lake can be brutal, and at times, hopeless. Warm, Safe & Sound is an opportunity for local bands and their fans to do something positive for these people.\nThe concept is simple, yet highly effective: five Chicago-based rock n' roll bands ask their fans to donate coats or sweaters at the door in exchange for a reduced cover. That clothing is then given to a local organization, which distributes it to those who need it.
