Both bands previously played together last March as part of the 'Where is the Alternative' at the Crane Lane which included Screenreader drummer Andy playing for the Paradox set and some double bass action for Screenreader with Paradox bassist Jette jumping up as a second bass player for their last song as well as Pete playing guitar. Sean Conway will be drumming this time around for Paradox. We'll see what happens :) \n\nScreenreader ::\n\nCork band Screenreader came into being with the release of their debut album “Disconnect the Dots” in January 2012. Burning a trail from start to finish with mechanical samples, high-impact dynamics and fuzzed up electronic textures, the album has received high praise from critics as well as a quickly growing fan base, resulting in consistent national radio airplay from the likes of 2fm’s Dave Fanning and Dan Hegarty, along with airplay from regional and local radio stations. The band also played a slot at the Indiependence festival in 2012.\n\n2013 has seen Screenreader record a live session for 2FM as well as hitting the road to play live as often as possible. The band will also be following up their 2012 debut album with further recordings in the coming year to capture what they’ve discovered about themselves as a band while working.\n\nParadox ::\n\nParadox are an Alternative Rock/Grunge Outfit from Cork.\nFormed in 1996 by brothers Pete Mac and Mike Mac the early Paradox sound was heavily influenced by the Grunge Era of the 90's.Paradox have released 3 studio albums to date. Their debut album 'Circle of Growth' was recorded on a US indie label in 2000, their second album 'Sacred' was recorded and released in 2004 and their latest album 'Corporate Pollution' was recorded and released in 2011. Pete Mac also recorded and released a solo album titled 'In Limbo' in 2009. Paradox have toured both Europe and the US and have built a steady fanbase worldwide from CD and download sales, their prominent internet presence and in particular word of mouth.\nIn 2012 the 'Corporate Pollution' track 'Repress Excess' was used on the soundtrack for Canadian horror movie 'Truth' which screened at the Cannes Film Festival and also won the Royal Reel Award at the Canadian International Film Festival 2013. The band also shot a music video for 'Mr. Bureaucracy' which was nominated for best song at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2013. The video was also nominated at the Portobello Film Festival in London and the Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival this year. Paradox have also recently supported the likes of Therapy? and Kerbdog.
