Rev. Rabia has been performing in the Bay Area for thirty years, the last 5 with her husband Keizo Williams Yamazawa**^ who is session guitarist & photographer for over 30 years. Together they form the duo, Rev. Rabia with guitarist from Hanzo the Razor. Rabia, a veteran of the local blues scene, plays a raucous rhythm guitar and provides hauntingly powerful lead vocals. Keizo plays leads and punches up the mix with tambourine . Rev. Rabia's major performances include the San Francisco Blues Festival (2002), opening for the late J.J. Cale (2004) and touring southern Italy with the great bluesman Sonny Rhodes(2005) . Recently they have been performing and recording with Mike Wilhelm, founding member of the first San Francisco 60s psychedelic band, the Charlatans and Flaming' Groovies in the 70s. Rabia has also been fortunate to have been mentored by the great delta blues guitarist Robert Lowery and harmonica player, Virgil Thrasher. Rabia and Keizo are currently in the studio with Mike Wilhelm, who is producing their new release. They plan to finish near the end of the year . The duo can be found playing in local coffee house venues and will open for acoustic blues virtuoso, David Jacobs-Strains in Sept.28th this year.
