We are a Youth Centre - strictly no alcohol. Pubs nearby for those old enough.
This is a special young people's charity tribute gig for PA man Tony Jezzard.
After the sad loss of Oxfordshire music legend, Tony Jezzard, who passed away over the summer, two UK punk/metal bands are co-headlining a gig at Bicester Hub to raise funds for a charity which was close to Tony’s heart, Huskies in Need: www.huskiesinneed.com. The charity rescue and re-home Siberian huskies and also Siberian husky cross-breeds.
Jeremy Leggett, who runs the Gig Committee at Bicester Hub, is proud that this gig will celebrate Tony's life and the contribution he has made over the years to the Gig Committee. He says:
'Tony faithfully did the sound at countless youth gigs in several locations for me for well over ten years. The teenagers on our Gig Committee were fond of him as he was always willing to patiently teach them sound engineering skills and use his mixing desk. He will be sorely missed by all of us at The Courtyard in Bicester and our gigs will never be the same without his humour and support. He played a significant part in the success that our project has become and we will always be grateful for that. There can't be many local musicians who didn't come across him at some point. What a lovely, warm and funny man.'
