Walk To End Alzheimer's"Northern Regional Park"
Loretta Hagen will join CBS News "Jack Ford", 103.5 KTU's Paul "Cubby" Bryant, and News 4 New York's Pat Battle as they Walk to End Alzheimer's October 27 at Van Saun Park, 216 Forest Avenue, Paramus NJ.
Diagnosed 10 years ago, Loretta's Mom has suffered with the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's disease. Her family continues to care for her in her mother's home in Rutherford, NJ. Loretta penned "Sundown Till Dawn", a song about her Mom and Sundowners Syndrome which afflicts many Alzheimer's patients. She was invited to sing her song on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC and the song was added to the score of the film "10 Mountains 10 Years." Loretta continues as an advocate to find a cure for the disease.
Loretta is multi-award winning singer songwriter, whose current album "Mud and Stone" has garnered rave reviews, #1 continuously in NJ, #5 Top 50 Folk Albums, on the RMR (Roots Music Report) debuted #10 on Folk DJ Charts and is the "Top Female Songwriter of the Year" winner of the 2013 JAM Awards (Jersey Acoustic Music Awards.) Loretta has shared the stage with Pete Seeger, Roger McGuinn, Kim Richey and many more, playing premiere venues throughout the Northeast.
