One of the best things about LiLi Roquelin is that she wears her heart on her sleeve through her music, and new album “Beautiful Sun” is no exception. The record smoothly blends soft ethereal pop ballads with electronic alternative that supports her unique vocals and piano performance, and the outcome is something that touches the soul. On her previous solo releases, LiLi Roquelin has had her music placed in documentaries and TV shows (Lifetime, MTV), accompanying dance performances, receiving songwriting and music video awards and extensive press and radio coverage. Her talent spans from the craft of songwriting, composing, and programming to the usage of unusual technologies for live performances. She blurs the boundaries between pure artform and creative entrepreneurship using social networking and video blogs (600,000+ views on Youtube) to create a personal connection and engage her fanbase. A must hear…. and see.
The music of Eli August is akin to the waters of a great river. It’s always moving and pushing forward, whether through percussive guitar and banjo, or the urgency of delicately crafted lyrics; the music never looks back. Eli is often backed by an ever changing East Coast collective called The Abandoned Buildings, who bring rich and earthy orchestrations to the settings imagined in August’s songwriting, from the deep undulations of the ocean, to the quiet mystery of the forest and the openness of the dry and dusty road.
The Spanish Channel

The band lives in Brooklyn, NY, and rocks like Foo Fighters, Weezer, Fountains of Wayne, The Cars, Maroon 5, Lit, and Ok Go. Winner in the Midas Rock The Highway national band contest. A mention in the November 2010 issue of Spin Magazine. A performance at Atlantic City's Caesar’s Palace
