OC45, BADABING & SCULPINS
@ the VOID
DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
OC45 is like taking The Ramones, Rancid, The Bouncing Souls, The Clash and Screeching Weasel; tossing them all into a blender and slapping them on stage in a giant beer glass full of awesomeness.
BADABING: the San Diego based duo featuring Tom Lord (bass, vocals) and Ryan Schilawski (drums, vocals). The two-man band deliver heavy riffs and aggressive rhythms that leave you with no choice, but to move your body or bob your head in agreement, that this small group pumps out big sounds and a good time. Two men, two instruments, two voices and two sets of genitalia. They are Badabing.
SCULPINS: Branden Parish (Atoms/Watusis) recruited his Punk uncle, Jarrod Monday, to play drums. "He's eight years older than me and from old local bands like Too Far Gone and 39 Dead." Parish's cousin, Adam Gomez (Ragdoll City), is manning the mic. "Jarrod and I have known Adam our whole lives, and his uncle eventually ended up marrying my mother, Lisa Gomez, who's an active Punk promoter for online blogs and radio stations. Thanks to her, I've been listening to Punk music since I was born." The band is filled out by bassist Cody Nathaniel, aka Nathaniel Ruch.
