Mud Tea is the premier rock and roll power trio out of Asheville, North Carolina. Old friends have reconnected to create music that matters, with apparent influences ranging from the hidden gems of rock and roll to the mud stumps of Appalachia, from the lairs of old-school metal to the grime of New Orleans funk. Mud Tea is: Mark Schimick, of Larry Keel and Natural Bridge on drums; Toby Weaver, from the Brown Liquor Pickers on guitar; and Warren Hawk, formerly of Asheville’s Leigh Glass Band and Backyard Tire Fire on bass. Members of Mud Tea have shared the stage with rockers such as Bloodkin and Far Too Jones; legends like Colonel Bruce Hampton and Ike Stubblefield; and bluegrass icons such as Tony Rice, Vassar Clements, Peter Rowan, and Sam Bush.
