Punctuation marks are not visible when you speak. In this case, that’s a good thing. You’ll figure out what I mean.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of when Rene Blais, Richie Stmichel, Dennis Rantala, Micky McAuliffe, and Buzzy Tremblay along with a stray dog, Benjie Benton melted into New Bay Colony. Members like Fred B. Stuart, Doug Moore, Bill “Bo” Roberts and Alan Chapdelaine have added their talents to create a band that has just been fun to be in. Throw in Cody Nickerson twisting the sound knobs and Mr. Unsafe, Unprotected Sax Ron “Pesky” Paszkewicz up front blowin away and, well you see how much fun we have. Did I forget Mr. Manager, John Pelly Pelletier? Not possible. Everyone has an influence that lasts. No one ever leaves the band; they’re just not visible on stage every night.
Last year we lost our Old Home Base when the Rockdale Legion closed up their hall. We were thinking of places to hold the anniversary and one of the places we thought of was Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton. We have there played for a Northbridge class reunion and thought the big tent and beautiful surroundings of the course and club house would be really cool. We then figured we’d have to figure out how to get a mangy bunch like us into such a classy place. So, I promised them I could get Greg Norman and a bunch of other big name pros to attend. The deal was done!!! I know what you’re thinking, and no, I didn’t lie just to get in. Greg, Norman and a bunch of big name pros will be there. Greg Trussell, Norman “Skipper” White (possibly Norman Lachapelle and I’m digging deep with this inside joke, Norman O. LaRose) and you don’t get too much of a bigger name than Ronald “Pesky” Paszkewicz. 21 letters but who’s counting. How bout “Camp” Henry F “Tee” “Chet Molette” “Tredgie” “Ludlow Niner” Trajanowski? You count that one yourself. Both of these guys are “Pros”. I can come up with many more.
Amazing what a comma will do.
Here’s the deal:
Ain’t Goin Out To NO Pasture 40th Anniversary Bash
Saturday September 21st at 7:30pm we light up
Blackstone National Golf Course
227 Putnam Hill Rd. Sutton, MA
$10 Gets you in with the profits going to
The American Cancer Society
You know you don’t wanna miss this. We’re countin on all the friends, fans, family and nut cases that usually show up at the legion, to show up at the golf course. Don’t just go there to see the band (we realize that’s enough for any thinking individual) come to see everyone that will be there. Listen; be in awe, dance and laugh. In other words, the usual New Bay Thang.
