Brian just called with Saturday’s forecast. It looks like a slow moving, no-pressure front is headed for Cape County, accompanied by “nothin’ but blue skies”, with a good chance of fun early on, before changing to sunny frivolity as the afternoon progresses… He also thought we might see intermittent periods of plastered crowds, and a slight chance for some isolated, late-afternoon under-ams towards sunset. In short, the sky is looking up!
If all goes accordin’ to schedule, that feisty little cow-pony called the “Sparkplug” or “Sparky”; as he’s known to more intimate friends, should come pulling the old “Born Fool’s Traveling Minstrel Show” wagon up the hill from Hunter Valley just in time to kick-off the ole hootenanny around 2:30 Central Standard Time.
Come on out if you’re not too busy… well jumpin’ jelly-beans, if you ARE real busy; that’s all the more reason to take a little break and have a cool refreshing repast on a warm August afternoon. Don’t want to dehydrate or overheat… You can get back to being totally swamped with stuff to get done on Monday, or Tuesday latest. Don’t you worry ‘bout a t’ing, mahn; Hunter Valley has all the little extras required… wine, beer, wine-r-itas, snack trays, sandwiches, pizza, entertainment, etc. All you need to bring along is the proper attitude… see you there!
