NYC indie bands showcased at Hell’s Kitchen landmark Church For All Nations.
NEW YORK, New York – August 6, 2013 – The Stoop, a distinctive music venue in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, is thrilled to present the Kick-Off of its 6th Season featuring favorites Tabitha Fair, Blessing Offor, & Monica Allison on Saturday, September 21st.
The evening will kick off with Monica Allison. The Phantom Tollbooth praises her live performances saying, “Monica held the enraptured audience firmly in the palm of her hand and kept them there for the first tune until the last. There is an ever-growing family of performers in the city that are dedicated to creating great music. Standing at the forefront of this family is a young woman named Monica Allison.” – Chris MacIntosh aka “Grandfather Rock”
Following Monica is Blessing Offor, whose incomparable musicianship has not gone unnoticed having performed at The Kennedy Center three times already. With influences from every end of the music spectrum, Blessing Offor is a well-rounded artist - from playing multiple instruments, to singing, writing his own music and lyrics, and arranging, Mr. Offor provides an all-encompassing musical experience. He contributed “Winter Wonderland” to a compilation Christmas record with artists such as Aaron Nevel, Amy Grant, and The Beach Boys. He most recently won over new fans showcasing his serious songwriting chops as a favorite on Bravo’s “Platinum Hit”.
Powerhouse songstress Tabitha Fair has been awarded the Songwriters Hall of Fame Abe Olman Award and is a top touring vocalist and recording artist. Fair was also a co-founding member of the high-selling group, Avalon. This knock-out performer has worked with the likes of Keith Urban, Celine Dion, Carole King, Amy Grant, Sting, Travis Tritt, Michael McDonald, and The Van Zant Brothers to name a few. Tabitha Fair is one accomplished musical force not to be missed.
