A full night of poetry and music, along with the unveiling of a special new dish by chef KJ Zumwalt, and new poetry by Houston Hughes! PERFORMANCE BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 7PM, SO GET HERE EARLY.
As part of the Sensory Iconoclasts series put together by Arts Center of the Ozarks, chef KJ Zumwalt (of Caribe) and poet Houston Hughes have collaborated together to produce works of art based off of one another, and they are finally ready to be unveiled! The evening will include over an hour of poetry and music, including a new piece by Hughes based on Zumwalt's food and life, and on the menu for the evening will be a brand new dish by Zumwalt based on the poetry of Hughes! Hughes will be accompanied by guitarist and tour partner John Henry. And it's free to watch!
Specialty items being served (in addition to normal menu)
-smoked pork tenderloin with spicy shrimp and local pepperoni topping. This will be a MONSTER MEAL maybe suitable for two
-salmon w heart breaking out over local farmer market greens w Arkansas rice and Cuban style black bean
