Makers of Sense
With a voice that soothes the savage beast and a swagger that could only be inspired by the Spirits of Music, this sultry singer, songwriter, and producer's explosion onto the music scene in 2000 was a breath of fresh air for the Windy City. Born in Chicago, but raised in West Africa -- Nigeria to be exact -- Obisoulstar (2012 Raw Artsit Musician Of The Year) is the epitome of a Renaissance Man. His music is like food for the starving senses and water for a withered heart; it reflects a man who has seen a lot, forgotten little, and is not afraid to tell the story.
The Makers of Sense are a Chicago based group known for a radical and diverse live performance with an eclectic sound to bring it all together. Comprised of Brother El founder of The Beat Bank and Labo Labs a Chilean physicist with vast musical experience, MOS runs the musical gambit in their own style. The duo is back in the studio working on album 2 and a high-energy new live performance with big plans for the summer.
Forbidden Knowledge was formed in May of 2012 by solo artists Nino Arobelidze and Pablo Gordy. The two met while Arobelidze was working and performing with a Brazilian project and Gordy had finished releasing his second studio release on which he wrote all material, played and sang all the parts. Arobelidze and Gordy began doing sessions at Laughing Man Studios in Chicago. They exchanged song ideas and quickly realized that an album could be recorded with the material from those sessions.
