*THE JRo PROJECT*
The JRo Project is a family of musicians that prides itself in its ability to move hearts and minds. The ingredients of a night with The JRo Project include body moving grooves, conscientious lyrics, and a performance from our hearts to yours.
In 2011, JRo gave birth to the The JRo Project, recording the debut album "New Skin" with amazing musicians in Boston, Massachusetts. In September 2011, JRo moved to San Francisco , California and joined forces with Pete Ruecktenewald, Colby Jones, Jesse Levit, Ben Hicks, and Cory Aboud to continue the adventure and add a new set of ingredients to the pot. With an ever-exploring sound, rooted in neo-soul, funk, rock,
The JRo Project will continue to explore the possibilities of expressing the many emotions and views of the spectrum of love. From a worldly view to a more personal take on the topic, there may be a song just for you.
neXusROCK is a band from Oakland, CA with roots in Union City, CA.
For over 10 years, the group has evolved and grown together musically,
professionally, and above all as friends.
In 2007 neXusROCK released their 1st full length compilation album featuring clients and artists from Nexus Audio Studio, run by drummer and owner Chris Paxton and founded by the band in 2005 when they strived to find a place to record themselves. Throughout the rise of Nexus Audio Studio, the band has invested and enjoyed the benefits of recording their own album WRITTEN, RECORDEDand MIXED completely by the band led by engineer Chris Paxton. Mastered by Mike Wells in Los Angeles, CA.
The group's original name "neXus" came from Amyx watching the David Letterman show in high school, as Letterman said he "had a nexus with the audience". Amyx looked up the word in the dictionary and it described "a connection, or central hub". As the studio and the band began to grow their own identities, the studio was dubbed Nexus Audio Studio, and the band simply added "Rock" to land on neXusROCK.
Spawned from a turbulent liaison between driving electric guitar riffs, soulful basslines, pounding drums, and atmospheric waves of synthesized keys, STUDIO O grooves its way into musical memory banks with a sophisticated and moody blend of r&b, funk-tinged soul gliding atop jazzy, progressive rock tones. When the night is said and done STUDIO O leaves no music loving ear the same with their uncharacteristic fusion of each of these powerful genres, whisked into one gelatinous, beautifully sonic delight. Over the course of nearly two years, Marc Shure – STUDIO O’s brainchild on guitar – has combined melodic forces with old and new friends whom he proudly calls family, including Don Scott and Czelena on vocals, David “D-Sharp” DeAngelis on keys, Eddie Gray on drums and Neko “The Fuzzmonk” on bass.
Currently in the lab recording their debut release, STUDIO O is taking music lovers on a symphonic ride imbued with melodic, guitar driven notes, a thick instrumental sound, soulful voices and a timeless but modern pop aesthetic. Watch for them on a marquee near you and prepare to get funked up by a sound called STUDIO O.
