Sutherland LAC are hosting the 3rd annual 'Sutho Cops & Rodders Road Safety & Car Show' at Boys'Town Playing Fields, Woronora Rd, Engadine on Sunday 10 November 2013. With the positive feedback, great atmosphere and with around 480 cars on display and 25,000 patrons visiting our 2012 event, we promise that the 2013 version will be bigger and better. This gold coin donation charity event is aimed to promote road safety and attempt to reduce road trauma that Emergency Services personnel see on a too regular basis. Visual demonstrations and displays will display the effects road trauma has on families, friends and the community. Rescue services personnel will be combining together and perform 'Live!' mock rescue demonstrations of a serious motor vehicle collision. The day will officially commence at 9am. There will be something for all age groups and is bound for an enjoyable, educational and entertaining day. Food and drink will be available to purchase. The day will incorporate a car show that is eligible for car and/or truck exhibitors to enter, either with a road registered or towed vehicle for a small entry fee of $20. All exhibitors are in the chance of winning any of the 24 categories on offer. All exhibitors will have to be pre-registered this year, with all exhibitors receiving a free commemorative event t-shirt. Emergency Services will be represented with the inclusion of various police units. External stakeholders will also be attending as well as organisations that rehabilitate the injured and provide safety equipment for vehicles. We have an internationally star-studded line up with bands and guests attending. Amusement rides will provide children with entertainment. We will be hosting a mega-raffle with fantastic prizes to be won. All money raised will be given to our nominated charity, CareFlight. Parking is limited, and Police highly recommend boarding a train to Engadine Railway Station, where we will provide a free shuttle bus service or will be an approximate 15 minute walk to the venue. St George TAFE students will again produce our banner, with a banner competition.
