Ruslan Sirota / Press

“Ruslan’s story is just as incredible as he is a pianist. Fleeing with his family from the Communist Soviet Union to Israel would prove to be the perfect catalyst for his future. He was such a great musician that he was granted a full scholarship to the Berklee School of Music, and it was there that he would learn many valuable lessons about music and life. He accredits his journey for allowing him to explore and be creative. With aspirations and perseverance, he navigated his way around the music scene. It wasn’t long before Ruslan found himself working with the legendary Stanley Clarke. And that was just the beginning. He’s won a Grammy as well as collaborated with George Duke, Marcus Miller, Seal, and Chick Corea. When Ruslan decided to do an album, it was only befitting that he do so on Stanley Clarke's label, Roxboro Entertainment Group. His debut album, “Ruslan,” serves as the culmination of Ruslan’s abilities while maintaining authenticity. I find it magical and mes”

“Ruslan Sirota in full flight can stop a conversation cold. You'll just sit there, listening. That kind of brilliance is not heard every day - LA Weekly 21/04/2011”

“”Ruslan Sirota on electric keyboards sounds like Chick Corea on his BEST DAYS””

Bob Davis - Bob Davis Concert Review: Stanley Clarke Band (w/Hiromi Uehara) @ Keswick in Phi

“Ruslan, from pianist-keyboarder Ruslan Sirota, is the debut of a talented contemporary composer and musician. His playing is stellar, as are his color-filled compositions on this recording. Sirota sings and vocalizes on the project as well, with a sound that would appeal to fans of Radiohead or Coldplay as well. Sirota enlists a solid group of players on the effort, including the producer of the project, the renown bassist Stanley Clarke. He’s also joined by drummers Michael White, Ronald Bruner, Jr. and Jimmy Paxson, and guitarists Roy Kariok and John Shannon. Ukraine-born talent is accompanied by keyboard masters Chick Corea and George Duke on duets of one tune respectively. Sirota brings an exciting new voice to the scene that stretches the boundaries and accessibilities of instrumental music.”

Music On Top

“Grammy-Winner RUSLAN SIROTA There’s no better proof that music truly is an art form than the life of Ruslan Sirota. In fact, if beautiful had a sound, it could be identified in the music Ruslan writes. ”

“Around this time last year, I got to see The Stanley Clarke Band perform in San Antonio and was reintroduced to the amazing talent of Ukranian pianist Ruslan Sirota. While Sirota has cut his teeth in Clarke's band (and won a Grammy in 2011 for their remarkable self-titled album) as well as alongside the likes of Marcus Miller, Rachelle Ferrell, Dennis Chambers, Ne-Yo, Brian McKnight, and various others in assorted touring bands, the wait for Sirota to step out front with his own work was damn near interminable. Finally, like a random flash, Sirota took to his Twitter this week to announce the release of his debut album, Ruslan, available at the pay-what-you-like model at his Bandcamp for a limited time.”
