Brooklyn NYC / Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s Megahertz Donut plays psychedelic rock and roll that has roots in many sources, and sings about the human condition from mythic tragedy to existential comedy; from fighting for truth & love to digging for deeper meaning.    I play rock and roll the way some people fall down. I also fall down but that's secondary. Also do recording and guitar or bass sessions for others, paint, and design album covers and other rock merch and paraphernalia. Recently getting into animation. Past: bass for Toshio; guitar and vocals for wavegaze trio Dolphins Don't Love; synth and bass w/ Brian Bonz & The Major Crimes. Co-founder bass/synth/vocal in now-defunct post-apocalyptic rock band The Sky Captains of Industry. Other projects: Niall Connolly, The Working Effective, Jo Kroger, The Unpossibles, Glare, Evergreen, Outhouse Poets “Ever concerned with the complex and often under-considered relationships between man and woman, humanity and nature, and the ego and eternity, [This] is the thinking man's songwriting in its purest form.... About as low-key as it gets, … recommended for all sad bastards and science geeks alike. A slow burner filled with mournfully atmospheric electric guitar and even some spoken poetry here and there…for all its dark preoccupations, ultimately carries with it a strange and eccentric affirmation." Has played stages great and small, from NYC's Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, and Bowery Ballroom; to Tokyo's Shinjuku Jam, Shimokitazawa's Mona Records, and Shibuya Milkyway; to local watering holes all over America, Taiwan, and Japan.
