Born in Cuba and fried from birth on Southern blues, good old rock and roll and country, Chance Gardner performs with wild abandon. Chance learned the blues from Honeyboy Edwards, 'Earring' George Mayweather (JB Hutto's band) and his brother Silas Hubbard, Jr. from Mississippi. Chance Gardner is also a founding member of the trio any2words, known as Florida's Premier Jam Band with Marvin Knox on Sax and Flute and Toby Fletcher on drums. Bluesman Chance sings and plays Rockin' Blues standards and originals in a band that can melt the coldest heart with blues music cooked on a grill with rocket fuel. Original Rockin' Blues songs have been described as "John Lee Hooker on steroids". Chance and the band perform their own versions of blues standards written by John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Bo Diddley, Big Joe Williams, Jimi Hendrix... Chance Gardner's voice has been described as "gravel in a silk bag" and on guitar "it sounds like three guitars!". BTW Chance is a consummate entertainer and showman but he will only play guitar with his teeth when he feels like it. Chance Gardner has been presented with 5 Hawaii Music Awards in Blues, Rock and Folk (Americana) categories as "Best Album of the Year"(People's Choice Awards from internet voting worldwide). Also two time Grammy and NA HOKU HANOHANO awards nominee Chance Gardner is also a singer-songwriter on acoustic fingerstyle guitar and dobro playing original Blues, Rock and Modern Folk.. Chance Gardner is a singer-songwriter in Folk/Americana and Blues and performing solo, 5 pice band with keys, sax and percussion or with an acoustic trio (see: http://www.reverbnation.com/chancegardner). Chance is primarily gigging in Mainland U.S. and Hawaii but will travel anywhere for a good time.
