Byron Thomas was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Early on, his family moved to Romulus, Michigan, He recently relocated to Fresno California. Throughout his life, Byron has had a deep passion and desire to make a difference in people’s lives. This drove his desire to become a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Michigan after attending Western Michigan University. He continues to reach out to others through his work at The Senior Alliance, the Area Agency on Aging for western Wayne County. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of Byron's CD's is donated to Alzheimer's care, Homeless women and Children. Home Delivered meals. Byron’s roots in music extend deep into Gospel and other soulful music. Each song he chooses for his CD's are deep and meaningful to him. The songs reflect events in his life and those of others around him. When performing at events, Byron hand selects each song in a manner in which joyful memories are instilled in each releases. He gave glory to God through his role of Praise and Worship Leader at the World Deliverance Temple in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. In addition, he participates in conferences, special appearances and other events lifting his voice in praise and ushering in the Holy Spirit. Byron has been blessed to participate in events all over the United States. He sang the National Anthem for a Detroit Tigers baseball game held at Comerica Park and for the Karate Championships held at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. His singing engagements have included The Bobby Jones Gospel Show with the group One Luv, the Shirley Caesar Annual Celebration in Raleigh, North Carolina, and The Fox Theatre in Detroit. St. Louis, Chicago, Florida and in Thailand. Many people request personal appearances for weddings, funerals, graduations, and Annual Meetings. His soothing, soulful voice resonates with a wide variety of people. Byron carefully customizes the music for every event, making it special and memorable for all. Lending a hand and helping others is not only a passion in Byron’s daily life through his career, but this passion touches his own life personally. Byron’s mother and her two sisters passed away with Alzheimer’s disease. Her last sister is still Battling the disease. He has faithfully and lovingly cared for his mother before her death in 2018. As the disease progresses so does his desire to raise funds to further the research efforts that impact Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s impacts everyone. Whether you are impacted directly, or know someone that knows someone else, you are impacted. Every 70 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. This is a very sobering statistic. Byron helps to spread the word through sharing information and donating proceeds from his CD sales to Alzheimer’s research. Will you join the fight?
