Vince Charming is a Bay Area singer songwriter who has performed all over Northern California for many years…. In late 2022 he released the Vince Charming Band Album, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades and began performing live again after a 5 year hiatus. In the  the spring of 2024  they released So Totally Right as a live performance video and digital EP! These four songs had been honed on stage over the previous year! In fall of 2025 he released two solo singles in advance of a 6-song solo EP “Man Out of Time” which was released on February 27 of 2026. The title track is slowly making its way onto community radio playlists. 

The band calls its sound “Roots Music…and Beyond” as they  combine the best of country (both classic and alt-country), rockabilly, classic rock, folk-rock, and bluegrass. Influences include Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, the Rolling Stones, Gram Parsons/Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, and Neil Young. 

In 2026 Vince revamped the band and it’s better than ever! Drummer Dave Solon has been with them since spring of 2025 and keeps the beat steady. P. Airbass brings real Bakersfield Roots to the bass guitar. Andy Charmatz is a versatile musician whose unique guitar and mandolin style takes the band in  new directions. Lastly harmony vocalist, Christina Braa, a veteran of stage and screen, lends her amazing voice to the mix as a sort of frosting on an already delicious cake. 

The band members live in Napa, SF, and Berkeley so they play all over NorCal!!
Over the past three years they’ve played at a variety of venues all over Northern California including the Riptide in SF, the Clayton Club Saloon, Winter’s Tavern in Pacifica, Sugarloaf Wine Co in Santa Rosa, Jettywave Distillery in Half Moon Bay, Tam Commons in San Rafael, Blazers BBQ in Novato, Moonlight Brewing in Santa Rosa, Spancky’s in Cotati, Starling Bar in Sonoma, Ivy Room in Albany, the Penngrove Pub, Blue Ocean Brewing in Half Moon Bay ,the Fourth Bore in Orinda, Ireland’s 32 in SF, Jam Cellars in Napa, Treasure Fest on Treasure Island, Slow Hand BBQ in Martinez, BR Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, the Sausalito Cruising Club, Elevation LVK in Livermore,  Nickel and Nickel in Oakville, Jack’s in Fremont, The Garden in Napa, and the Sunset Concert Series at SF Zoo!  So far every venue they’ve played has asked them back! 

They can perform acoustic solo, duo, trio, or full electric band. They can support other acts in similar genres or play a full multi set show on their own!
