Ricardo Sweatt Rodriguez is an American guitarist and composer. He works as a solo artist and runs his own record label & concert company - Omeros.net. When asked what style of music he plays, he says " Acoustic fusion. I once played for Larry Coryell and this is what he called it. It's the best description of what I do. Before, I never knew quite what to call my playing. Artists in all genres of music inspire me. Yet, my playing doesn't fall in any one category."
Ricardo has been a master-class instructor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and has studied guitar technique & performed with world-renown Belgian guitarist Bert Lams of the California Guitar Trio and American guitarist Curt Golden of the League of Crafty Guitarists. He has also studied music through course work with world-renown English guitarist Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft. He has been a special guest performer at the Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival (Mexico), Great Guitars of Houston, The Shanghai Guitar Art Association and has also been invited to score music for the Shanghai Opera Dance Troupe. In Houston he has hosted performance showcases Concierto del Guitarra, Nylon & Steel, Guitarsonica, GuitarWorks, Night of Strings, Guitars & Wine, String Masters, Dharma of Strings and Guitarisma
