“You've likely heard all about the Capitol Hill Snowy Owl, the Bobcat who tried to break IN to Monroe Prison, or Freedom the Eagle. What all these wild celebrities have in common is that they have all been cared for by the e staff and volunteers at Sarvey Wildlife Center in Arlington. I am writing to you today as one of those volunteers to tell you about a very special event we are organizing to help pay the costs associated with the rehabilitation of these and other wild residents and migratory tourists of our beautiful state. It's called SOMETHING WILD, and it will take place at The Mirkwood Shire Cafe, an old mission style church turned vegetarian restaurant/bar/tattoo shop/music venue. The bar is separate so the event is all ages, and will feature live music by Rare Birds and Rosemary and the Skablins for a donation of $10.00, There will be presentations throughout the night from Sarvey, and a delicious vegetarian buffet will be available for an additional $10.00.”
