Rachael Johnson / Press

“This Saturday night, Mount Airy native Rachael Johnson will be coming home from the bright lights of Nashville, Tenn., to perform in a one-night only show at the Old North State Winery at 8 p.m. Since graduating from Mount Airy High School in 2005, Johnson headed off to Nashville to make her way in the country music industry. She now plays 20 to 25 shows a month in Nashville, surrounding cities and states, while sharing the stage with country stars like Jo Dee Messina, Josh Thompson, Little Texas, Dave Gibson, Chris Young, Craig Campbell and Trent Tomlinson. While Johnson has played several shows locally at B52s with her band, this will be her first local performance in which she will be performing alone. She said the concert will be quite intimate and she is looking forward to returning to Mount Airy. Johnson and her band are the house band at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville. ”

"Rachael Johnson brought top quality music to our stage. I can see why she’s regularly booked in Nashville. She is a crowd pleaser and an overall wonderful singer! Rachael isn’t scared to come off of the stage and really work her audience. That quality alone sets her apart from most performers! I am very excited to have her come back very soon!" – Tim Jury, Eddie Montgomery’s Steakhouse Entertainment Manager

"We are thrilled for the opportunity to play this incredible venue! I've heard amazing things about the food, people and entertainment at Eddie Montgomery’s Steakhouse and can't wait to finally be a part! I am looking forward to bringing our Nashville show to the great state of Kentucky!"

“Nashville Recording Artist, Rachael Johnson, has earned the distinctive honor of being hand-picked as the opening act for Country Music Star Jo Dee Messina for an upcoming private show at Nashville’s world famous WildHorse Saloon.”

“Rachael Johnson performs a weekly show at Nashville’s world famous Wildhorse Saloon but on October 22 she will return to her home town of Mt. Airy, NC for a special appearance at B52’s Bar and Grill located on 972 North Andy Griffith Parkway.”

“ It’s true what they say: you can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. In Rachael Johnson’s case, that’s a good thing. A sense of pride exudes from her as she talks about her tiny hometown of Mt. Airy, North Carolina—to which she always amends,”

“There and Now Artist: Rachael Johnson North Carolina native Rachael Johnson puts her soulful sound and songwriting talents on display with her 5 track EP titled There and Now. The title track “There and Now” is a great tune about life back home after spending time away chasing the dream. At least that was my take. It was also co-written by several members of Rachael’s family including her father Wade Johnson who also helped co-write the upbeat tune called “The Pirate Song”. A great pick you up song during the hard economic times we’re all facing. Rachael along with her brother Jacob also collaborated on the song “Stay By My Side”. A song inspired by the loving marriage and special relationship shared by her parents. Visit www.rachaeljohnson.com for more info. ”
