“The night just kept getting better and as my anticipation for the lighting of the fire sculpture grew so did my eagerness for next band. Prophets Mire got the nod and the honor of playing during the lighting of the fire. I got goose bumps as Johnny Klink took the stage to thank the many sponsors and all the folks that made this weekend possible; then Johnny gave the signal and to “light it up” and the boys from Prophets Mire were on. I had a ring side seat for the festivities; I was standing right next to Drummer Mike Gregg as the fire began to blaze and the fireworks filled the sky. It was an amazing site to say the least. While folks were mesmerized by the fire sculpture the music of Prophets Mire filled the air and provided the perfect soundtrack to one of the exciting times of the festival. The band got a little horny when they invited our good friends Tracy "Sax" Lakes and Skabone to the stage; the guys played plenty of tunes from their album called Pir”
