THE STOOP CONCERT SERIES PRESENTS CALEB HAWLEY, MARA MEASOR, & PONIES WILL BITE YOU! NOVEMBER 16TH NYC indie bands showcased at Hell’s Kitchen landmark Church For All Nations. NEW YORK, New York – The Stoop, a distinctive music venue in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, is thrilled to present NYC indie bands Caleb Hawley, Mara Measor, and Ponies Will Bite You! on Saturday, November 16th. Though Caleb Hawley was nationally recognized on Season Ten of American Idol, he’s toured all over the country consistently and has earned several honors in such prestigious contests as New York Songwriters Circle and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. His extraordinary vocal abilities, guitar virtuosity, clever humor, and songwriting chops makes Caleb Hawley a true standout. Mara Measor’s voice has been described as, “… pristine and reminds me of a delicate, less raspy Vanessa Carlton. The music permeates the female singer/songwriter genre beautifully.” - Higher Plain Music Her most recent album “Mara” is, “a collection of songs colored by a diverse palette that span roots in folk, jazz and alt-rock, with a splash of arty chamber pop thrown in. Her stylistic range merges into a studied sound that’s both memorable and intellectually satisfying. “Mara” deserves to be heard.” – Nikkei View Ponies Will Bite You! fuses pop sensibility, folk riffs, and classical violin, with playfully introspective lyrics for a genre-straddling singer-songwriter taste on the lighter side of angst. Ponies offers, “a style that is folky with pop leanings – think The Lumineers, Nickel Creek, Ed Sheeran, and Iron & Wine.” - The Mad Mackerel The event will be emceed by Chris MacIntosh (aka “Grandfather Rock”) of WCWP Radio’s “Rock N Soul Gospel”. Doors open at 7:30 pm., and showtime is at 8pm. While the concert is free/pay-what-you-wish, The Stoop will be accepting suggested donations of $12. Patrons will receive a free gift with the full suggested cover. All drinks and concessions including beer and wine are inexpensively priced under $5. The Stoop Concert Series and venue are presented by Music Forum of Church For All Nations, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Church for All Nations is sponsoring the series in providing the landmark venue as a contribution to the cultural and spiritual life of Hell's Kitchen.
