"Continuing the thread of hard-hitting performances came Pillow Theory, a straight ahead rock group with a distinctly late 90s vibe, but without a hint of irony, which makes them surprisingly refreshing from many similar acts in the city today. New York isn’t really a “rock” town, at least in the typical sense, however Pillow Theory proved that New York can do rock, with a solid crowd going nuts throughout their set. It didn’t hurt that the set was packing a punch from the go, and not letting down even when the band stopped to breathe / banter with the crowd. The passion and energy of the music melded perfectly with the on stage persona of front man Kelsey Warren."
