Proud to be part of this fundraiser with the same title as my original song – “Stand Up And Be Counted” – for York’s Arc Light Centre for the homeless. The event has been organised by one of York’s most respected singer-songwriters, Toni Bunnell and will feature Singer-songwriters: John Storey, Paula Ryan, David Swann, Stan Graham and Toni Bunnell and Poets: James Cramphorn, Don Walls, John Gilham. All material performed is dedicated to those people who made their mark in the world by standing up for what they believed was right. http://www.eventsinuk.net/event-stand-up-and-be-counted-york-124244 https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema/York_Picturehouse/film/stand-up-and-be-counted

Delighted to be playing in the wonderful acoustic of the National Centre for Early Music and to be supporting BARLUATH – such a diverse, innovative and exciting young Scottish folk band based in Glasgow, comprising musicians who met as students at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Ainsley Hamill, Alistair Paterson, Colin Greeves, Eddie Seaman, Eilidh Firth and Luc McNally excel at both instrumental numbers and at songs in either English or Gaelic, with fiddle, whistles, highland and border bagpipes, bouzouki, guitar and piano. First getting together in 2010 and with two albums under their collective belt, Barluath have delighted audiences across Scotland, Europe and North America and increasingly in England too. This is going to be a wonderful celebration of Celtic Music – hey, who needs Celtic Connections :-) ! www.barluath.com www.ncem.co.uk www.blackswanfolkclub.org.uk
