Partisan / Bio

Partisan are an English rock band formed in Manchester, Lancashire early 2013. As the name implies they are passionate about their cause, which is to inject some authentic rock into the limelight and challenge the latest genre as serious contenders to pick up the music scene with punchy, bold and unflinching rock anthems!

The band's members are Stuart Armstrong (lead vocals and guitar), Dan Albon (bass guitar) and Rob Jones (drums). Founding member, Stuart Armstrong (lead vocals and guitar) left his previous band Six10Repeater, which was formed in 2007 and disbanded in 2012, but returned to the scene with Partisan working on new material with his rock edge and progression from Six10. Six10Repeater achieved numerous accolades including 'Best Unsigned Band' by XFM in 2009, two tracks, Hearts & Nails and Today Somehow featured on Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, supported prominent bands such as Nine Black Alps, Baby Shambles, The Damned and Status Quo as well as being reviewed by influential peers within the industry, Mark Radcliffe and BBC Introducing.

Partisan have gigged across Manchester in some of the main music venues in the city including: The Factory, Dry Bar, The Castle, The Black Room, The Roadhouse, The Eagle and have upcoming shows throughout their UK Tour, including a number of O2 Academies. They played MoFest and Edinburgh Fringe in 2014 and looking to book more festivals over the coming year.
In December 2014 they won the bands category in ‘Brand New Artist’ with Negart Records and in January 2015 signed to their label. With a 3 track EP under their belt and following on from Six10Repeater as innovators of new rock they are working with the label to continue to produce hard hitting lyrics and melodic riffs to astound their followers and the music industry leaders!
