marvelous midwestern tune tom !!
Holiday At St Joe confounds all expectations. Musicianship of the highest calibre.Tom...I couldn't even begin how to think this in my meagre musical mind. Mind blowing brilliance.
Midwestern Protestant Lament..what a stoater of a song. Lyrically astonishing and potent. Thing us the chorus is so darn catchy...instantly in my head. This song is currently No1 in the Free Church Of Scotland. Tom...your bloomin amazing.
"midwestern" is wry and clever as always, maestro! killer throwback presbyterian melody... and great singing by you, Ruth, and the rest of the congregation... the church sure ain't a building, am i right? aiiiight... keep 'em comin', maestro! your huge fan, and humble student, da boi d
The church sure ain't a building... you got that right Thanks!!! :-)
Okay, so I really did try to join in and sing along with the choir during the 'hallelujah' parts AND IT IS REALLY HARD! Sing it 2 times real fast (in unison) rolling the 3rd one out... I mean come on! Gansta Rap and Sunday Brunch Gospel got nuthin' on you Tom! Praise be to God!
Listening to ¨Holiday At St. Joe's¨ this is another signature Hedrick track, ever so creative and awesome, love the jazz vibe on this one, your are AMAZING
Albert, you are the amazing one. Thank you for listening to my tunes. Your support means a ton to me.
Holiday at St. Joe's is the most Zappa-ey pastiche I've ever heard ... that's incredible. The closest I've heard. I simply must hear it live when I open for you in Minneapolis next week or the next or something
Thank you! :-) Well, when such a gig occurs, it will be me with a guitar and a whole bunch of body paint. Not as elaborate as the studio arrangements, but "an experience" nonetheless. Hope to meet you someday.
Tom! Holiday at St. Joe's is so fabulous, l too miss Zappa and you have captured that spirit so well here! Thank you sir!
Wow... Thank you, Miles! That means a lot to me.
You never cease to impress, surprise and delight with your creations and your 'revision' of "Holiday At St. Joe's" is no different… liked the previous, but this version definitely has more pizazz… thumbs way up!
