very fine, compelling melodies you're writing on these compositions Gretchen..I really like the falling chord cycles of "rainy day lullabye" and deep strings, bell-like piano blend of "retrospect"..i'd suggest you keep a close eye on those midi files as you use them..try editing it note by note if you have to keep all those elements in crisp, bright sync..occasionally the playing takes the listener out of the relax zone with a rusty note or a minor tempo change..this can all be fixed by close attention to the midi editor as your record..also, it's often a good idea to mix your string patches so they don't all play off the same setting..cellos will never play the same as violins in real life..so try different samples and reverb settings on different instruments to try and replicate the real-life miking technique of an actual orchestra. It's very good writing..just always remember that production is about detail!!

Thank you SO much for the helpful comments! You are the first person who has taken the time to offer helpful criticism, and I truly appreciate it as I am not really a musician but am driven to try and create what I feel in my mind. I recently was thinking of trying to find someone who could help me produce better music - for instance, if I can do the best I can and then get someone who actually plays to play it correctly,LOL. and have someone mix/master it as well. Often the final sound is not all I believe it could be. I would love for the final product to be much better. Thank you again for taking the time to reach out and try to help a fellow artist! You Rock!
