Thoughts On My New Live-PA Experience
Last week I played at the River Street Pub in Troy with 7th Squeeze, my second experience doing live-pa with other musicians and my first time incorporating an actual drummer. The logistics of doing this proved easy with the help of Jeff at Guitar Center on Wolf Road, who gave us a very useful technical suggestion for maintaining perfect coordination between drummer Tim and myself. We build off of that suggestion and, with the technical part out of the way, Tim and the band and I practiced until the big night and I'm pleased to say the audience feedback was enthusiastic and positive. I've very excited that it was a success!
I'm doubly excited about the implications it has for future performances with live bands; I can now say I know how to create techno with a live band. And that is huge!! I can't wait to see where I can go with that!!
