My Birthday At Guitar Center Earlier this evening, my wife and I went to Guitar Center in Tacoma, WA. I have been long overdo for a new set of headphones, so she wanted to buy me a nice pair for my birthday present. We walked over to the display which was positioned in the middle of the sales floor of the 'ProAudio Department'. For various reasons, we debated whether or not we should make the purchase here or at another store. After approximately fifteen minutes, a sales associate asked if we needed any help. Since there was no price tag, I pointed to the Audio-Technica M-50s and asked, "How much are these?" He asked, "Are those the M-50s?" I replied, "Yes." After five minutes, he yelled to me across the department that they were $159. I said, "Alright." He then came over and said, "You know, Dr. Dre actually uses the M-50s instead of his own BEATS headphones." He then went on to say that if I wanted, I could try them on. So, I did. I then returned them back to their original state inside the half-see-through box. We discussed it a bit more and began to head over towards the 'Guitar Department'. The sales associate asked, "So, are you going to get them?" I replied, "We're going to think it over for minute." We, then, started looking at the guitar amps. After sixty seconds or so, the same sales associate yelled asking for us to return to his department. We made our way over, assuming he would offer us a lower price or an alternative product. When we arrived at his counter, he showed us a box for the Audio-Technica M-45s that was opened and a different pair of headphones that looked old and dirty were hanging out. He demanded for the original pair to be returned to him. We were both in shock! I said, "I have no idea what you're talking about or even trying to imply, but we weren't even looking at those headphones." He exclaimed, "Well I need them back!" I answered, "Well that's your problem, because we don't have them." As I pointed to the surveillance camera, I exclaimed, "The camera will even agree." We then walked out.
