In a statement from Marco Ragni: Land of Blue Echoes comes from the desire to explore new musical worlds. I tried not to make a copy of my previous album “Mother From The Sun” but to evolve into a new dimension.

Two songs were written in collaboration with my wife Alessandra Pirani, already the author of many lyrics from “Mother From The Sun” the other 7 tracks composed on this new album with sounds that range from the typical synth of the 70s, psychedelia and acoustic passages and piano carpets. Kristoffer Gildenlöw To Present His New Album “The Rain” Live

Melodic Revolution Records are thrilled to announce the release of the upcoming album “The Rain” by Kristoffer Gildenlöw.

Multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter, Kristoffer Gildenlöw, to present his 2nd solo album, “The Rain”, Live on March 25, 2016 at Cultuurpodium Boerderij, Zoetermeer, Netherlands. Kristoffer will be joined on stage by his stellar band mates (¹).

Worldwide release of “The Rain” will be available in both CD and Digital formats in April / 2016.

Gildenlöw’s eleven year career as bass player in the progressive rock band Pain of Salvation set the wheels in motion for his solo career, which took flight with release of his debut album “RUST” (2013), paving way for “The Rain”. In addition to vocals, Gildenlöw performs a wide range of instruments and uses carefully selected guest musicians – adding strings, accordion and church organ – to make this album come to life.

About The Rain: The deep tones of how the mind fights against itself resonate throughout this powerful and poignant work by Kristoffer Gildenlöw. A brilliant effort after his highly acclaimed first solo release: Rust (2013); a thematic album which delved into the realities of aging and one’s perspectives on past, future and ultimately reconciliation with life choices. Again, Gildenlöw has chosen a heavy subject for the theme of The Rain; which is a concept album that examines the life of a man in later stages of dementia who struggles with his own reality, perceived through the metaphor of rain and clouds.

The gentleness of the piano passages oppose the angst and turmoil which lie beneath. The gentle pace at which the album progresses is reflective of the destructive force of the disease upon the man, and you find yourself at the tipping point with the track, ‘Breath In, Breath Out’. It is through this lyrically beautiful song that the realization of the end becomes apparent; leaving the listener grasping for the beauty captured in the mind’s eye.

The Live Band: (¹) (Live at Album Presentation) Paul Coenradie (Aniday, Valentine), Dec Burke (Frost*, Audioplastik), Dirk Bruinenberg (Patrick Rondat, Elegy), David Gutierrez Rojas (Kingfisher Sky), Anne Bakker (Blaze Bayley), Daniël Huijben (The 11th Hour), and Rick Snel (Déva Dyne)

NeverWake’s Management Company Atomic Cowboy Productions made the introduction to Moyer in early 2014 at a high profile, east coast music conference. The artists struck a chord with one another that echoed a mutual artistic appreciation that inevitably led to Moyer and NeverWake working together.

Scarlet Hollow Guitarist Back in the Hospital

California Prog Metal guitarist Gregg Olson for Scarlet Hollow is back in the hospital.

As you may recall Gregg was first hospitalized on November 20, 2012 due to a ruptured blood vessel which has bled into his brain-stem. This has caused total paralysis on the left side of his body. The band were getting ready to hit the road to promote their new offering “What If Never Was” released just a month before.

According to a positing by his wife Allison VonBülow and Vocalist for Scarlet Hollow. We are back in the ICU at Los Robles. Gregg had another bleed in the brain stem. It is not as bad as his 2012 stroke…. At this point anyway. We will see. There is slurred speech but not terrible…. His eyes have trouble tracking…..He is dizzy. Really dizzy….. And has a headache. They Doctor discovered a new bleed and are watching him…… Blood pressure is an issue…. He goes hi and low so it is not a sure thing what to do for that. They gave him meds to bring it down for now. He is tired….. He will be here for a few days. That’s all for now. Ali

All of us at Melodic Revolution Records are wising Gregg a speedy recovery.

Nth Ascension Signs with US Progressive Label Melodic Revolution Records

Melodic Revolution Records is proud to announce they have just struck a multi-album deal with the UK Progressive Metal Band Nth Ascension.

Nth Ascension joined MRR in mid-2015 with a distribution deal for their 2014 release Ascension of Kings, and have transitioned over to the label for their future releases. 2016 will bring a new offering from Nth Ascension which will be released via Melodic Revolution Records.

Nth Ascension was conceived of in 2009 by Darrel Treece-Birch (TEN keyboardist) with his friend Craig Walker after the two had performed in a Charity gig. By January 2010 Treece-Birch’s long-time friends and writing partners had joined – Alan “Spud” Taylor and Martin Walker and in 2012 Gavin Walker joined to round out this five (5) piece powerhouse.

This is truly a collaborative group of musicians, each member a gifted songwriter in their own right, their individual “bare-bones” ideas are brought to the table for refinement and development by the entire band; resulting in an explosion of sound and lyric magnificence all borne of the natural flow of the creative effort of the collective.

The creative juices are once again flowing and beginning in late 2015 the band started work on their third album. They are currently in the studio recording and we will see a release in the Autumn of 2016.

Nth Ascension Is: Alan ‘Spud’ Taylor – Vocals Darrel Treece-Birch – Keyboards Craig Walker – Drums Gavin Walker – Bass Martin Walker – Guitars

Port Mahadia to release new album Quantum Space

ORLANDO, Fla. - Feb. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Port Mahadia are back after an 8 year absence with a follow up to their debut album “Echoes In Time” (2007). The band was formed in 2004, the core of the band consisted of Erinn Waggoner: Bass & Vocals, Cameron Castle: Guitars, Rusty Clutts: Drums & Percussions and William O’Connell: Keyboards, and featured special guests Damian Wilson (Threshold) and cellist Hugh McDowell (Electric Light Orchestra) and David Ragsdale (Kansas).

The band are ready to unleash both their 2nd offering “Quantum Space” and a new line-up. Returning on the new album, singer, songwriter and bassist Erinn Waggoner joined by Johnny Anderson: Guitars and Justin Emmerson: Drums & Percussions. Like their previous effort, the new album also features many special guests, including: Kerry Shacklett (Presto Ballet) Hugh McDowell (Electric Light Orchestra) Will Shaw (Heir Apparent), among others.

Port Mahadia took a detour into this creative project to fulfill the band’s desire to reinvent some Classic music that they have enjoyed over the years whist working on their new material. Port Mahadia is hard at work and in the throes of writing and recording their new original material. Quantum Space showcases eight Classic songs by such artists as Rush, Emerson Lake & Palmer, U.K. and The Beatles among others. Port Mahadia didn’t want this to be just another covers album and playing each track note for note. They wanted to release a fresh take on the Classic songs, so they revamped the songs with there own heavy signature sound while maintaining the integrity of the original version. The album also features two new tracks, Principle of Disorder and Cannae.

Quantum Space will be available in two formats: CD and High Quality Digital Download with pre-orders going on sale February 8th 2016 and worldwide release on February16th 2016

Leon Alvarado Working On New Album

Progressive Rock artists talks about upcoming release.

According to Leon… I’ve been working hard burning the candle on both ends with my latest project. The music it’s almost all done but this particular project touches on various artistic disciplines. The music of course, and then there is the artwork which reflects the concept in the packaging and booklet. Then there is the story itself, partially written and printed in the booklet but also told through the music and the images.

This is by far my most ambitious project I have done to date, but it’s all coming together quite nicely. I have to give great kudos to my guitarist which happens to be Billy Sherwood (Yes. Circa) another Yes alumni Rick Wakeman will be lending his talent into some of the music.

This project has been a long time in the making but mainly because it had to be shelved due to scheduling conflicts. Now that my schedule has cleared, I am diving into this thing head first.

The artwork is coming along great and will have a nod of sorts into the great album covers from when the industry was at its peak. The album will be another Melodic Revolution Records release but no definite date has been set yet. It will be this year for sure but there are still many pieces to go before I feel is ready to be released.

Leon’s latest release is a single for the video Persistence released on December 15, 2015 other releases include: 2014 Music From An Expanded Universe (2014) Strangers In A Strange Places (2010) Plays Genesis And Other Stuff (20o9)
