Midwest musicians are getting the opportunity to go “major league”, while helping raise funds for victims of parental substance abuse. The non-profit group M.A.S.A.D.A. (Musicians, Athletes, and Students Against Drug Abuse) has partnered with 12 Bar Productions, LLC to develop this baseball – themed contest.
Platinum-selling Producers, Engineers, and Executives will judge 25 bands in order to find the best act in the Midwest. The top 10 acts will be featured on a MMP 2010 Compilation CD (proceeds going to M.A.S.A.D.A.). In October, five will go on to perform in front of a live audience. Proceeds from the contest will be going to M.A.S.A.D.A. for creation of a vocational scholarship along with the production of a documentary on Methamphetamine abuse called “Death Train…American Junkie 2
