CHICAGO — The veteran Midwest rock group Lynch has announced the worldwide release of their new album “Something in a Dream” which is due this April on DSN Music. “This album has more heart, more soul, more rock and more roll than any other previous Lynch effort, in hindsight we should have called this More!” said Danny Lynch. “Something in a Dream is the story of Life, Love, Addiction and the Power of Music!”
Originally formed in 1981, Lynch was a popular Chicago rock group whose lineup included Danny Lynch on vocals, Mike Burke on guitar, Frank Pace on drums and Ken Olsofka on bass. By the 1990′s the group had disbanded, as a new music scene had developed in Chicago, and members went their separate ways to raise families, and take on other projects.
Then in 2007, former members Frank Pace and Ken Olsofka put the band back together, and returned to the studio with the release “Window of Your Soul” in 2010, featuring the popular single “Wash Me”. Following the new release, Lynch was back to performing live and shared the stage with such acts as Pat Travers, Ronnie Montrose, Y&T, and Joey Belladonna.
The new lineup remains mostly the same as it did in the 1980s, with Danny Lynch, Mike Burke and Frank Pace, with new addition Julio “JC” Crespo on bass. “With new blood comes fresh ideas and a different viewpoint, since JC arrived he has had a big effect on the Lynch sound” stated Burke. “You still know they are Lynch songs but they have a more modern feel with a meaner edge!” Added Crespo “It’s a totally new level for me,I’mm proud to be part of Lynch and play with amazing musicians!”
In regards to the new project, drummer Frank Pace summed it all up – “We walked away from this one and knew we put everything we had into it…that’s a very rare and cool feeling!”
“Something in a Dream” is scheduled for a worldwide release via DSN Music Tuesday April 8th, and will be available via online and mobile stores such as Amazon.com, iTunes, Google Music, Spotify, Rhapsody, eMusic and hundreds more.

HOLLYWOOD -- Ron Marks, veteran singer and songwriter, and frontman for the rock group Subsonic, has announced the global release of his new album "Honeycomb" early this Spring on DSN Music.
Marks, who is well known in the industry as a hard rockin' guitarist, created the new project as an all acoustic album, displaying a diverse range of his talent. Tracks include a cover of the popular 1960's hit "Pleasant Valley Sunday" from The Monkees, to a stripped down version of the Subsonic hit single "I Could Be Anybody."
"Honeycomb has been my most personal and challenging artistic effort to date" said Marks. This was quite different from writing and recording a hard rock album. No big drums or Marshall stacks to wrap around me. On an acoustic release like this one, you're naked in a room for all to hear. And these tracks are most personal."
Subsonic released "Trifecta" on DSN in 2012, which featured 30 tracks from three previously released albums which were digitally remastered. The diversity of songs shook the industry, with hard rock metal leads to pop, progressive, alternative and even some swamp blues. Subsonic is known for several hits including "Dream American" and "Just Hit Pomona" which generated radio airplay and a popular music video.
Before Subsonic, Marks played guitar for the popular European heavy metal group Celtic Frost, touring from 1986 to 1988, and performing on their 1990 release "Vanity/Nemesis" replacing Oliver Amberg.
Celtic Frost frontman Tom Fischer calls Subsonic, “unusual and almost heavier version of Zappa.” When commenting on the much anticipated Celtic Frost reunion, Tom volunteers, “When people approach me about one day doing a reformation of the original Celtic Frost, it means to me: Reed, Martin, Ron and myself. That, to me, is “the original Celtic Frost.”
Fans may notice a more personal touch to the new release with several tracks as Marks explains, "Missing You" is dedicated to my father who passed away in 1993. "Jane" is about a former girlfriend who later became suicidal and called to tell me so. "Venus Hates the Moon" pokes fun at two room mates that used to mix it up like they were married, but were not. "If I Could Only Find Love" is yet another satirical "stab" at the American Dream. I'm grateful to DSN for the opportunity to reflect a musical side of me that some may not be aware of."
"Honeycomb" is scheduled for a worldwide release via DSN Music Tuesday March 11th, and will be available via online and mobile stores such as Amazon.com, iTunes, Google Music, Spotify, Rhapsody, eMusic and hundreds more.
