I do soloist gigs but get burned out to my own sound since I play it so often. I refer to my repertoire with the same 40 tunes joggled around. It's great that people actually listen to you and since it's either their first time or maybe their 5th time it's great to have them appreciate your work. I had played with group to achieve different timber feel and genre but the usual ego thing caused friction till it was just too much. I always prefer to play my music my way and not others way of thinking so Im a "Soloist" now but it does get BORING to play with the same tracks or straight solo since youre all by your self. I tried finding a gal singer but I couldnt any that actually sang and when I did find one the genre was off. I mean I play more towards the smooth Jazz style and the singer were all rock or R&B...
