As the holidays approach and 2010 winds down, singer/songwriter and musician Mike Schikora is still 'spinning the plates' as he puts it! "It takes a lot of work to get that wheel to turn, once it starts, it takes more to keep it turning!"
When Mike wasn't out on the road performing at rodeos in CO, NV and TX, he was back home stoking the fire, keeping other irons hot.
One very hot iron is his songwriting! This year Mike teamed up with Nashville based Keaton Music Ventures in pitching his songs to major artists looking for their next big hit! The response has been overwhelming and very positive! Mike's music has been catching the ears of music row from major label A&R reps, producers like Dan Huff, to artists like George Strait, Reba, Wynonna, Billy Currington, Easton Corbin, Pam Tillis, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean, Bucky Covington, and many other established and new artists. It's only a matter of time until we hear his songs on the radio released by major artists if not by Mike himself! Mike as an artist has also caught the eye's (and ears) of some notable industry heavy star-makers!
With all this attention Mike and his team in Nashville are planning to strike while this iron is hot too! They are discussing plans to do an industry showcase around the CRS (Country Radio Seminar) in early March.
