Second album Wide Awake Dream on Kickstarter for July!

I am in the process of raising money to finish my second album. I'd be honored if you could support it by pre-buying it on Kickstarter. I am seriously excited by these new songs. No money leaves your account unless the project is fully funded. I hope you check it out! Thank you. Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 at 8pm (sharp) THE LIVING ROOM 154 Ludlow Street, New York, NY 10002 A FREE SHOW

Literally getting my act together....

I spent Friday mastering my record at Avatar studios on West 53rd with engineer extraordinaire Fred Kevorkian. What a great guy and what an exciting experience to hear the acoustics of the mixes developed even further, and to see hear the sequence and sounds all come together. A wonderful day and I felt quite emotional sitting on that expensive leather couch with producer Riley McMahon, witnessing the mastering of the album exactly 6 months from the recording of the basic tracks in the dark days of January, and 6 years after writing my first song.

As if that wasn't enough, the band and I had debut at The Living Room on Tuesday night. What a fun show, and many thanks to all of you who came out and to that fabulous venue!! On to the CD release now, so stand by.....

June Shows!

Thanks to all of you that came out to make our Rockwood debut so special over Memorial Day. I am very excited to be on their books and that cellist Gjilberta Gelaj was able to join us. Hope to be back there soon!!

June is looking busy. I am playing a stripped down "solo" show at Googie's (above The Livingroom) accompanied by the wonderful pianist Tony Lauria and sassy and smart songwriter Annie Dinerman has invited me to play on a couple of her shows at Banjo Jim's.

Also, will be finishing the mix and the artwork for upcoming album-Threshold!!! We might even master it this month if we stay on track....

Banjo Jim's madness

Many thanks to the big crowd that came out to our show on Saturday night. I think the aim of making it the busiest Saturday night show ever may have been achieved- thanks in part to the Small Town Sheiks crowd that came out early! I'm very excited to announce a few new shows including my first at Rockwood Music Hall- the best small venue in the city- and some guest appearances with Annie Dinerman.

Banjo Jim's Sat 4/23 @ 8pm

I'm getting excited about our Saturday night show at Banjo Jim's!! The band is sounding grrrreat and we're psyched that pianist Tony Lauria is going to join us for this show. I'm thinking of putting chocolate eggs in the tip basket. You heard it here first.

That went well!

Had a grrreeat first show at Banjo Jim's. Thanks to everyone who showed up. The bar tender said it was their busiest Tuesday night in living memory!! They want us back on Saturday April 23rd 8pm! A great slot. Hoping it will be their busiest Saturday ever!! Trumpet tracking with Kevin Cordt was dreamy. He brought his sassy sass all the way from DC and made some of these tracks sound a bit too good! I'm not sure I can handle it!

So I am running my set every day in preparation for the show on Tuesday 22nd. I'm officially off book. Had a great rehearsal with the band at Universal Rehearsal on West 20th St, NY, NY. It is a wonderful retro space run by a cute, retired couple that have been in the biz for 40 years. They claim Kiss used to rehearse there! They have a dog called Happy. I'm off to NWS today for more vocal tracking!!!!
