Jon Niehaus - Project Wolfpack Drummer / Blog

Project Wolfpack History

The Wolfpack formed in March of 2015, when four longtime musicians, from various backgrounds, decided to get back into the music scene after growing frustrated with what many of the local "cookie cutter" bands were offering. Shortly after forming, they realized that they enjoyed hanging out together just as much as they enjoyed playing together. It soon became evident that this "Project" was turning into a "Wolfpack"!

Each member has varying backgrounds in musical styles and genres like true Rock Classics (such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Ben E. King, and Van Morrison), Classic Rock (such as Steve Miller, Foreigner, and Bob Seger), Southern Rock (such as Lynyrd Skynrd, ZZ Top, and .38 Special), Pop Rock (such as Huey Lewis and the News, Bryan Adams, and Eddie Money), the Blues (such as Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Eric Clapton), and Hard Rock (such as AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, and Rush). Not to mention many years of experience playing in jazz ensembles, Gospel groups, country and western bands, and accompanying various solo artists.

Collectively, all of these influences are used to create unique renditions of many classic songs that everyone will enjoy listening to. Project Wolfpack aims to offer something special for everyone who comes out to see us!
