Your Government Cheese is Ready Now!

It’s happening. After all these years, it is happening. “Government Cheese: 1985-1995” is being released today. Tuesday, October 26th. It’s real. It’s done. It's for sale. I’m looking at a copy of it right now. I haven’t had this feeling since the 28-month gestation of “Cheese Chronicles”, back in ’96 when I first held my own book in my hands. Take your time moving from name to name, look at them lovingly, linger over them. Russ Riddle, John & Susan Branstetter, Lisa Frye Kinkel, John & Claire McClean, Dan Contreras, David “Skip” Walker, Tom Littlefield, Kenny Duvall, Scott Feinstein, John W. Chester, Mel & Polly Behney, Ginny Alden, Erin Meye. I picked up the phone and called Scott Tutt. He was Government Cheese’s manager/producer back in the day, the man whom I portrayed in a not-too-terribly flattering light in my book, - and the man who owned the rights to our best-known records along with a ton of stuff in the can. ....more online at http://www.tommywomack.com
