Onward and upward

2011 has been an eventful year for me. I have been blessed beyond measure. I experienced what it's like to actually let God control my life and got out of my own way for a minute. Boy, did He move mightily! I'm excited to see what He has in store in the new year. I'm going into 2012 revolutionary style, not just making resolutions that are never resolved! Thanks to my fellow believers. If you don't already, surround yourself with like-minded people who will help propel you to higher heights. I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to listen to the music that God has given me. I pray that it has touched your lives in some way. I'll be adding more songs within the next few months, so stay tuned. May God grant the desires of your hearts in the upcoming year and years to come. Seek Him more, live for Him and love one another with all the love you can muster. I'm praying you have a wonderful year in 2012. Happy New Year! Kima Charysse

New Entry 24Feb11

I'm constantly amazed at how God works in my life. This time last year, I was frantically looking for venues to minister my songs. I ran into brick after brick wall. I was so excited about what God was using me for and I just wanted people to hear the messages that God had given me and my songwriting team. They are so necessary for the times we're living in these days. There are reminders all across the world that the end is near, but folx wanna fake the funk and pretend they don't see the signs. Nature this, nature that. God can and will do what He wants to do when He wants to do it! Yall ain't learned that yet?! God is coming back and we better be ready when He does. Could be tomorrow night, who knows? What will you be doing when He gets here? :) We should ask ourselves this very question on the daily for real. Over the course of this last year I've finally, truly learned to wait on God. EVERYTHING that He says will come to pass will. It's actually quite simple, but we want it when we want it. God says, "I'll give it to you when it is time chile." It's all about timing. That sense of urgency that I felt about getting out there and letting the world hear my music has dissipated a bit. My eagerness for Him still remains, but I know now that He has a designated time for things to happen as they should. So I'm a lot calmer in my waitin' time. God uses all of us to help others in some way or another every day. We need to realize it and give thanks when it's due. I'm so thankful to everyone who has encouraged me to keep pursuing this music thang. It means a lot to me to see that it is touching lives, as that is my prayer. To those of you who have been moved, grown or inspired by my music, I thank you for taking the time just to listen. God is still moving. 'Preciate ya! All the best, Kima Charysse

Waiting patiently

I've been learning how to wait patiently on the Lord a lot this past year. In that waiting, I have experienced God's wonders over and over. I've definatley learned to trust in Him with everything. Things may not happen the way we want or when we want. But, it is such a blessing to know that my God shall supply ALL of my needs. I just want to encourage you not to mumble, grumble and complain about things you have no control over. Let's learn a lesson from the Israelites and not let it take us 40 years to make it to a destination that should only take 11 days! We block our blessings when we complain. That tells God that we don't trust Him. If you're gonna open your mouth to say something, lift up the name of Jesus and thank Him for all He's done! Do something for someone else as much as you can and as often as you can. It'll make you feel a lot better. I promise! Have a great day, Kima

I'm amazed everyday at just how awesome God is. We spend so much time worrying about things we have NO control over anyway! Scary moments do pass, just like everything in this world does. I was reminded of a particular situation that had me extremely stressed. God handled it so smoothly that I can't believe I was so frantic about it. It was embarrassing how much I'd worried. If we are to wear the badge of a believer, then we need to let go of the uncotrollable and let God handle it. Stop wasting so much energy focusing on trivial things in life. Live your life! In the grand scheme of things, it is only for a short while anyway. Have a wonderful day. Do something today for someone else. See how much better you feel. Kima
